THINGS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN

I tell my friends here on the West Coast that not all Southern accents are the same and I can tell a bad faked one from the real thing or when Hollywood sticks a Texas accent on a character supposedly from Louisiana (it’s really grating for me). I couldn’t explain how I just knew the difference because I grew up with those accents — in family, friends, classmates, you just know the markers. But this explains what the differences are beautifully.
